You may create synonyms for that object names, view objects in various databases (across database links), and restrict accessibility objects.

The chapter should really acquaint the readers with terminology. I did not know very well what object meant here.

Objects would be the "things" that comprise your database schema, like tables, sights, saved methods, functions and suchlike.
