I've got a devoted IP and server space for any specific WordPress project (ex: 555.555.555.55) and inside my root folder for your IP I've got a WordPress install within it's own directory (555.555.555.55/wordpress) because I did not wish to crowd my root folder with all of individuals Wordpress files.

I am about prepared to move my WordPress install completely towards the root folder therefore it is viewable using the IP and with no /wordpress extension.. Can there be an simpler method to redirect my IP towards the WordPress folder without showing the /wordpress extension? I would sort out the .htaccess file to redirect any demands towards the IP to visit the Wordpress folder but when the consumer sailed with the site, the URL would still show the /wordpress extension.
