I'm running Wordpress having a self-made wordpress plugin which includes a function that brings some good info from different sources. Basically start that function, which frequently runs as much as 2 minutes, the server does not react to any frontend demands made - i.e. website site visitors will not obtain a server response as the wordpress plugin function is running.
Does someone know how solve this?
This may be because PHP blocks multiple demands which use exactly the same periods.
In case your lengthy-running script began a session, not one other demands in the same user is going to be offered until that script has either ended, or closed lower the session.
In case your lengthy-running script does not need any session specific data, you could attempt running [cde] at the beginning of the script (but after embedding the Wordpress header files) and find out whether or not this works much better.
