When establishing a "network" (formerly an MU install) several new tables are produced.

wp_3_commentmeta
wp_3_comments
wp_3_links
wp_3_options
wp_3_postmeta
wp_3_posts
wp_3_terms
wp_3_term_relationships
wp_3_term_taxonomy

Let's say you desired to talk about the wordpress_options table amoungst all your sites to ensure that exactly the same roles, admin configurations, styles could be saved and handled all in the same location.

You might by hand copy each one of these configurations in to the new table but that appears just like a heck of a lot of unnescary coding.

Are you able to toggle whether a subsite uses it's own table or even the parent table?

Can't appear to locate this answer anywhere, any help could be greatly appreciated. THANKS!

I generally make use of the Cloned Sites for WPMU wordpress plugin to produce the websites with similar options. It does not help a lot if you want to sync all of them moving forward, but it may be the thing you need:
