I have enabled featured images using the following code:

if(function_exists('add_theme_support')){
    add_theme_support('post-thumbnails');
    set_post_thumbnail_size(145, 9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999, false);
}

and everything works fine with the exception that I can not discover the featured image metabox during my custom publish editor. Underneath the "show" menu I have only the amount of column along with other 2 unrelated options. I am around the last version of wordpress (3.1, I believe?).

Are you able to assist me to? I have already attempted everything I discovered on this web site and elsewhere.

Thanks ahead of time.

The right way to get this done is placing all of this code in functions.php

add_theme_support('post-thumbnails', array('events'));

(where occasions may be the title of my custom publish, you need to use yours)

function create_event() {
    register_post_type( 'events',
         array(
            //...
            'supports' => array('thumbnail', 'title', 'editor')
                    //...
        )
    );

(thumbnail does the secret, bear in mind title and editor if you wish to have the ability to possess a title inside your publish or edit it!)

And last make sure to tick this area known as 'thumbnail' - I guess, my installation is within another language - under screen options (screen options is really a button within the upper right corner, Google the title if you cannot think it is).
