Well used to do a wordpress installation using the more recent version now avaialble at dere website..

used to do my installation in a subdomain : foo.abc.com

the issue included the permalink that do not work dere bec from the htaccess file.

Can anyone suggest me how to achieve that, i have to only have the courseOrpostname

Till now i can do foo.abc.com/index.php/category/postname - i dont want index.php inside it.

I have tried personally this htacess file :

# disable the rewrite engine
RewriteEngine on
# BEGIN WordPress
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /blog/
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule . /blog/index.php [L]
RewriteRule ^post/([0-9]+)?/?([0-9]+)?/?$ /index.php?p=$1&page=$2 [QSA]
# END WordPress

Please correct me if at all possible.

I am not totally i comprehend the problem, but I'll try to get rid of a couple of solutions.

  1. Within the Wordpress back-finish, underneath the General Configurations Tab- perhaps you have set the "Blog address (URL)" and "WordPress address (URL)" towards the correct domain? This might write the right .htaccess setting for you personally.

  2. If you're trying to behave more inticate using the domain for example category.blog.com/publish_id, possibly have a look in the Wordpress Subdomains wordpress plugin.
