My WordPress blog includes a single publish designated as sticky which will always load once the site.com address is hit.

However, as this is a publish it resolves to both "place-publish-title-here" and index.php during my sitemap. For instance, the hyperlink to "Home" and also the connect to the "place-publish-title-here" page seem to be two different pages to google, however they load the identical content.

This produces a possible duplicate content penalty using the Large G

Any suggestions working for this?

Maybe Permalink Redirect WordPress Plugin, or hard code the sticky content in index.php (or perhaps a template file according to index.php) therefore it is ever present.
