%wordpress I have produced to tool to show php functions into Wordpress icons. I personally use the register_sidebar_widget function however it appears like wordpress_register_sidebar_widget gives me more options. Does anybody determine if that's legal?

P.S. I additionally generate icons within the new 2.8 format.

register_sidebar_widget is deprecated--although it can nonetheless be used, but you could utilize wp_register_sidebar_widget. Should you choose use register_sidebar_widget may want to bracket it within an if ( function_exists('register_sidebar_widget') ) just in case that function will get removed in subsequent versions.

Also, there's a wordpress plugin, Otto's PHP Code Widget, that enables PHP code inside a widget.
