I'm creating a wordpress wordpress plugin, that functions once the admin saves a brand new publish. I have to obtain the content of that publish and i'm locating $_POST['content'] and $_POST['post_content'].
The issue here's which i only obtain the text within that content, i want the html.

By doing this, basically was expecting something similar to <p>Lorem</p><p>ipsum</p><p>dolor</p>, I recieve Lorem ipsum dolor.

Can someone assist me to please?

Thanks

Well, as @ChrisCarson highlights, Wordpress does not store paragraph tags within the database automatically.

So, what I have to do, is parse the sentences myself using:

$content = explode(PHP_EOL . PHP_EOL, $this->request['content']);
$htmlcontent = '';
foreach($content as $line){
    $htmlcontent .= '<p>' . str_replace(PHP_EOL, '<br />' , $line) . '</p>';
}

thanks anyway

Wordpress does not store paragraph tags within the database automatically. Do this...

$content = trim(stripslashes($_POST["post_content"]));
$html = apply_filters("the_content", $content);
